A staple venue on the UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour, the popular venue of Cheongsong, in South Korea’s apple growing region, offers a magnificent and technical ice tower, partisan local support and a rich variety of cultural events.

Online Registration:
Online registrations of competitors must be done via UIAA registration system (a link has been sent out to federations).

Please read the following information very carefully regarding entry into South Korea and the COVID restrictions that apply. The Korean Alpine Federation have negotiated a quarantine exemption for all the athletes and officials attending the event allowing us to avoid the normal 2 week quarantine period, however there are some requirements to benefit from this exemption.

Testing – all athletes and officials must submit the following tests regardless of vaccination status. Although vaccination is strongly recommended.
1. Submit a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken no more than 3-days prior to departing day upon arrival in Korea.

2. Take a test upon arrival while staying near the airport until the negative result comes out for all participants, of which expenses will be covered by the Organizer.

Quarantine exemption certificate – all athletes and officials require a quarantine exemption certificate to enter South Korea.
Please complete the google form in the link, by the 21st January 2022 and send a copy of your passport and your flight booking to this email. The KAF will send you a copy of your application for confirmation and signature – which must be returned to them by the 4th February along with a copy of your flight e-ticket. You will then receive your official certificate once it is approved.

Deadlines
– The 21st January: Send the completed google form together with the copy of passport and flight booking to K.A.F at kockaf@kaf.or.kr
– The 28th January: K.A.F will send the Quarantine Exemption Application completed back to applicants for confirmation.
– The 4th February: The signed application must be back to K.A.F together with the E-ticket

– The K.A.F will send formal applications to the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism for approval. Then the applicants will be reached by the Korean embassy and/or consulate with their certificates.

Please also note that all athletes/officials should arrive in Korea no later than the morning of the 24th February 2022.


Accommodation:

Accommodation is arranged for the following nights: 24, 25, 26, 27 February 2022 in a hotel in Cheongsong – total cost for the indicated nights is: 250 EUR per person including your event entry fee.
